In the past I've also contributed a surveillance application in C#/WinForms handling cameras, sensors, LPR, laser scanners and other security devices. In every companies where I worked I've developed frameworks to simplify the development of GUI applications and maintain their visual and code coherence.
As you can see, my experience is mainly related to the development of scientific stand-alone, desktop applications with a highly interactive graphical user interface, usually accessing local data via JDO/JPA, or remote one through SOAP/RESTful web-services, coordinating distributed instances via WebSockets or RMI/CORBA. I’m able to learn and be proficient quickly, having acquired a lot experience about the main concepts of UI and programming.
