Profile: I'm currently attending an internship in Naples, which is an offshore geoscience company which mainly deal with geophysical surveys, pipelines inspections, environmental analysis and positioning of oil rigs and FPSO. My duties include the processing of MBES, SSS and SBP data and video pipelines inspection. I graduated on the first of December 2017 with a Master’s Degree in geology and geotechnical geology with a specialization in petroleum geology with the top of my class, and on September 2015 I graduated in Geology. My Master’s dissertation is about the stratigraphy and provenance of cretaceous formations of the Neuquen Basin, located in Argentina, where I spent three months working on this project. During this period worked both in the field, to collect samples and to measure stratigraphic sections; and in the office, to do sandstone petrographic and SEM analysis. The master's degree and my thesis project gave me good knowledges in petroleum geology, basin analysis, sedimentology and geophysics. In addition to my studies one of the activities that I like most is travelling, thus after my degree I left for a 5 months solo trip through South East Asia where I also worked as volunteer for two months. Furthermore, I have a strong passion for the outdoor, for photography and working out. I am earnest and humble, I like challenges, and I’m not afraid of hard work, in fact I always studied, worked and trained in sport. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I’m trying to find a position in a multicultural environment because I think that is very important the comparison of ideas of people from different country and culture because different ideas leads to the development especially in these times of economic and environmental crisis. To the company I can give my knowledge in geology, my desire to improve always myself and to work in a multicultural environment.

Candidate Id: 37223 Profession: Geology
Current Status: Student Preferred Status: Permanent or contract
Energy Industry Years: 3 Preferred Salary: 40-45K EUR (200-250 EUR/day)
Availability: 01 Sep 2019 Preferred Title: Geology
Keywords: Field Geologist
Profile: When I was seven years old I had my first lesson in the earth sciences exploring the basics of the rock cycle, this lesson inspired me to go home and bury all of my father's charcoal in hopes of making diamonds. Although this experiment did not result in precious gems, it did spark a passion in me which has been the foundation of my education and career. This early curiosity has, since then, led to a university degree in geology, experience working in the oil fields of West Texas, an opportunity to implement earthquake zoned foundation designs in California, and now an integrated petroleum geology masters in Aberdeen. I have previously worked in the oil fields and am passionate about returning to that industry after spending the last few years in the environmental and geotechnical sectors. Growing up my parents always instilled a value in hard work attains results, this attitude was very apparent working on rigs in the Permian Basin. Despite the current oil down turn, I had maintained employment as a professional geologist. It is this dedication to the profession that has given me the personal qualities I need to successfully complete this program and hopefully advance my career at Work Smart. My experience with field work has challenged me to systematically break down tasks and overcome obstacles to find the most viable solution to a challenging problem. This skill will serve me well in working on exploration projects as well as oversee and execute existing field operations. In my last role I learned to communicate with all aspects of the project, from engineers to the site super-intendants to the operators/laborers performing the work. As a field geologist I needed to have tailored, genuine and transparent communication in order to foster a collaborative environment and move projects forward within the designed parameters. These strong communication skills will not only allow me to build relationships, but also allow me to work well in collaborative groups, both in the office and on off-shore rigs. I’ve seen first-hand how wells have been drilled and seen the difficulties encountered in day to day field operations.
