The Company is the owner of a plant that uses ore to produce phosphate concentrate. It requires the assistance of a technical expert to advise on a) a technical report which contains the results of lab tests and findings from other experimental applications carried out on an existing beneficiation plant and b)on the recommendations for certain further work/ modification to the beneficiation plant. Previous experience in dispute resolution including arbitration or legal proceedings advantageous – please make sure you specify examples of this experience in your CV.

The client is looking for advice on/ support for, broadly, the following issues:
  • that the higher variability of the occurrence of certain minerals in rockmass contributed to a lower than expected mineral recovery after beneficiation;
  • beneficiation process design (un)suitability;
  • effect of reagent on water quality and consumption

The Company is open to applicants from both industry and academia. Initially you will work remotely with the client but will have to visit the site which will be disclosed in due course. The work is estimated to take 20 days but this could take longer.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A background in minerals beneficiation
  • Previous experience in dispute resolution including arbitration or legal proceedings advantageous
  • A broad knowledge which extends to mineralogy and geology upstream of beneficiation
  • Is familiar with the standard(s) for mineral quantitative analysis, evaluation and testwork used internationally.
  • Preferably has acted as a “Technical Expert”.
Other Information
Package: A highly competitive Day Rate is of offer dependent on skills and experience.
