A global provider of multi-client geoscience data and integrated services to the oil and gas industry seeks a Marketing Manager to assist in the promotion of products and services across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Applicants are invited with strong administration and project management skills and an excellent team player. The key is the ability to multi-task and manage the relationships with stakeholders involved in each marketing activity. The role offers a great deal of variety and exposure to a diverse group of people across various markets and cultures in the region.

The Company provides multi-client geoscience data to the global oil and gas industry. In addition to extensive data libraries that includes: seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, they offer advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products and data integration solutions.

Working closely with the Marketing Team in the US, you will implement the defined global marketing strategies across your region. Working closely with regional staff, you will help create and implement local strategies that support the business objectives; global marketing strategy and sales organization. In doing so, you will clearly understand the customer base, their challenges, the offering, and the promotional activities required to convey the value proposition.

You will be expected to keep abreast of new product offerings from corporate marketing and ensure that all relevant managers in the region are fully informed.

You will be passionate about aligning to and promoting the corporate brand, generating results and demonstrating skills in strategic planning, project management, and analytics.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager this role encompasses many functions including:
  • Build strong relationships with the Marketing Team in the US. Understand their strategic role and requirements for corporate branding etc.
  • Build strong relationships with regional Business/Sales Teams, marketing, management, IT, external marketing contractors, industry bodies/societies etc. Understand regional challenges, customer base, product lines, services etc.
  • Providing Marketing input and support to business units with their license round activities.
  • Provide input on tradeshows and events relevant to your region to the Tradeshow & Events Manager for each calendar year (you may need to be in attendance to execute).
  • Work with the business for their participation in Industry related tradeshows specific to your region/product.
  • Provide input on the advertising needs for the region and product by working with the Corporate Marketing Manager.
  • Develop the technical content for various sales tools; data/spec sheets, brochures, presentations white papers etc.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.
  • Maintain and coordinate the Editorial Calendar with the Senior Marketing Manager and maintain media contacts to oversee publication of articles.
  • Write and distribute press releases with support of senior management in their region and the Corporate Marketing Manager.
  • Co-ordinate updates of Company website content with the Corporate Marketing Manager.
  • Proof read all print and web related materials.
  • Plan the launch of new products by using market research data and knowledge to release and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Gain a clear understanding of our consumers, competitors and general environment to implement, organize and analyze research studies.
  • Define your target audiences, regions, and titles of prospective customers.
  • Support other disciplines within the Business Control Department as and when required.
  • Actively engage in a bi-weekly Results Assurance process to ensure team goals are achieved.
  • Proactively raise the awareness and reputation of the Company and product lines through effective marketing.
  • Keep abreast of competitors and their offerings.
This is an exciting and challenging role for an individual with excellent administration skills and has the passion, perseverance and energy to deliver effective marketing plans across a large region.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred.
  • Previous marketing experience highly desired but strong administration experience is key.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience highly desired – especially with a service company.
  • Experience dealing with oil and gas license rounds
  • Experience co-ordinating/providing input in to running events
  • Ability to work effectively in teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with marketing plans, launch plans, performance measurement and toolkits desired.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task is key - you could be running numerous concurrent marketing activities.
  • Strong social media skills essential – ability to promote the Company, products and services.
  • Good research – need to integrate the market for key facts relating to Company’s line of business and then relay to appropriate managers.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management – ability to keep all stakeholders engaged and informed essential.
  • Proficient in English (written and oral) is essential, additional languages are not essential but are desirable
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ambitious.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to keep abreast of new trends.
  • Proactive, flexible and enthusiastic.

An attractive Day Rate is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
