Overview
A major global engineering and design service provider seeks a Quality Engineer to work on Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for large oil and gas capital intensive onshore projects. Applicants invited with a strong background in FEED related projects and should be a strong Quality Assurance Specialist. Working on a Tax Free, Expat residential Contract for a minimum of five years in an exciting and challenging role, you will be exposed to a great opportunity to develop your specific expertise working across various stakeholders on high value projects. This role is offered in adherence with Saudi Labour Law and therefore these positions are only open to Males and under the age of 55.

Al-Khobar is a large city located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Persian Gulf and is linked to Bahrain via the causeway.

You will be contracted through the Company for a guaranteed 5 year period. The Company provides for single status and cannot assist with marital related visas or costs. This is a residential position (i.e. not rotational) and the Company provides 22 – 28 days holiday (depending on grade) plus you are entitled to all of the Saudi Public holidays (circa 10 - 14 days) which provide ample time to visit family. They will organise all mobilisation / demobilisation transport and you will be entitled to 2 flights home per year. For the first 28 days you will reside in the Holiday Inn and given the opportunity to visit their 5-6 accommodation compounds to select your preference.

Due to visa restrictions within Saudi for this project, US, Canadian and British Nationals are only eligible to apply.

Project Teams will consist of senior level personnel with expertise in project management and engineering (e.g. design, civil, mechanical, electrical, pipeline, process, telecoms, etc). It is an exciting time to join this prestigious FEED project.

Preferences
Preferences: The successful candidate will have
  • Full time degree (no long distance learning degrees) in Engineering essential.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years broad Oil & Gas Quality Assurance experience essential.
  • Experience across all project phases (i.e. FEED, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Close-Out) essential – this is key.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Strong supervisory skills essential.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance of Mega Programs highly desired.
  • Be able to effectively communicate quality assurance controls/information to client, project management, engineering and subcontractors.
  • Be able to define and prepare accurate and meaningful quality assurance status reports.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi or the Middle East advantageous.
  • Ability to make independent decisions - in the planning, organizing and coordination of solutions to complex problems.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to stay abreast of new trends in your field.
  • Proactive, flexible and dedicated team player, able to achieve goals.
  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to engage and work effectively with team players from various cultures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships



 
Other Information
Package: An attractive Tax Free salary is on offer dependent on skills and experience plus end of service bonus. In addition, a full Ex-Pat package is available including housing, transport, 2 flights home per year, health and dental insurance 22-28 days holiday plus all Saudi national holidays which are circa 10-14 days.
