Overview
On behalf of our Energy Client who is also a leading provider of information to the global Defence, Power, and the Automotive Industries we seek a Sales Executive (セールスエグゼクティブ/事業開発) to develop strong revenue growth initiatives for their full range of Automotive products within the Financial industry. You will manage designated client accounts as well as identify and pursue new business opportunities. Applicants are invited with a degree in Business (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably from within the automotive industry. English fluency is a requirement.

The Company is a recognised leading provider of information in the global market and economy, and has operated for many decades across a wide range of industries. They are considered globally as a leading supplier of information and intelligence.






 
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Reporting to Sales Director, Japan this role encompasses many functions including:
  • Become competent in the Company’s suite of solutions, services, work flows and practices.
  • Generate sales revenue for the Company’s automotive products within the financial markets.
  • Succeed in an entrepreneurial, flexible and fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Undertake Marketing, and target potential financial markets and prospects.
  • Maintain contact with both existing and prospective clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Identify Client Needs.
  • Maintain corporate processes and systems.
  • Be highly proactive in reaching your Sales targets.
  • Handle all questions in a timely and professional manner. Follow all Company procedures to solve problems.
  • Understand Company products and services to assist in up-selling to clients.
 
Preferences
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years in sales/business development essential.
  • Sales experience within the automotive industry highly advantageous.
  • Experience working within/for the financial markets desired.
  • Good strategist – able to put together business development plans.
  • Self-directed, proven success in business growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive level clients and colleagues.
  • An enthusiastic problem solver and decision maker with strong collaboration and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and keep focused on their ultimate objectives.
  • Track record of leading initiatives and transformation efforts that evolve the company to a customer, workflow and value driven orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the key business drivers of the customer and can articulate how the automotive portfolio can meet the customer’s needs.
  • Fluency in English essential – preferably in writing, speaking and listening.
  • Ability to travel in-country mainly and overseas if necessary
 
Other Information

Package: A Base salary of JPY 7,000,000 plus incentives are on offer.
