Overview
n behalf of our Energy Client who is also a leading provider of information to the global Defence, Power, and the Automotive Industries we seek a Senior Research Analyst (高级研究分析师) to conduct Infotainment and Telematics researches, and auto technology related domains. You will be responsible for the development of forecasts for automotive infotainment components and conduct primary and secondary research to build an in-depth understanding of the Chinese automotive infotainment industry. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 5 years market research/analysis within automotive technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience within automotive infotainment engineering, design or programming.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Reporting to Research and Analysis Associate Director this role encompasses many functions including:
  • Become competent in the Company’s suite of solutions, services, work flows and practices.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to build an in-depth understanding of the Chinese automotive infotainment industry.
  • Lead the Company’s automotive infotainment component forecast for China.
  • Respond to all client product inquiries and support them with email, telephone and face-to-face meetings.
  • Take responsibility for creating content for infotainment analysis - written analysis and reports.
  • Present findings/data via webinars and at conferences/tradeshows/client events.
  • Support custom Infotainment consulting projects, via data analytics, infotainment analysis, and more.
  • Assist with other component database work on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Monitor performance-to-plan throughout the year and adjust direction, focus and sales initiatives as needed to effectively penetrate the market.
  • Maintain analytical coverage of infotainment components.
  • Build and strengthen your client base.
  • Build internal contacts to extract synergies and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Build and nourish relationships with key industry contacts that utilize or could benefit from the Company’s services
  • Actively solicit speaking opportunities and make speeches/presentations several times during the year to gain market exposure.
  • Keep abreast of industry and business trends, players, competitors and new technologies.
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree essential. Higher level degree (Masters or PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market research/analysis within the automotive technology industry essential.
  • Experience within automotive infotainment engineering, design and programming highly desired.
  • Direct automotive OEM or Tier Supplier experience combined with a deep understanding of the automotive industry as a whole essential.
  • Proven network of connections within the automotive industry highly desired.
  • Formal training of, and experience with analyzing elements of the automotive infotainment ecosystem desired.
  • Passion for the automotive and/or mobile industry highly desired.
  • Ability to visualize and compile large sets of data into a clear and useable format highly advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills essential.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills. High work ethic and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive level clients and colleagues. The ability to initiate and develop productive business relationships.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical issues (both verbally and in writing) to non-technical personnel.
  • An enthusiastic and creative problem solver with the ability to handle questions and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • High attention to detail. Ensure accuracy and high quality in all your work. Continuously strive for improvement.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and keep focused on their ultimate objectives. Be able to be flexible with time demands dependant on requirements.
  • Time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and expectations.
  • Fluency in English essential. Additional languages desired.

Other Information


Package: An attractive base salary of circa CNY 380K is on offer dependant on skills and experience.
