Overview
n behalf of our Energy Client who is also a leading provider of information to the global Defence, Power, and the Automotive Industries we seek a Program Lead (计划领导) to be responsible for running the new National Sales Company Business Unit (NSC). You will manage the program, including project implementation and ongoing support. In addition, you will serve as the commercial lead for the NSC program, partnering closely with the Sales Team. You will have an estimated 5 staff reporting to you. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 8 years’ experience within the automotive industry with a good understanding of National Sales Company business. Preference will be given to candidates with dealer retail experience and/or a data/systems background.

The National Sales Company Business Unit has real-time sales activity data that can be viewed at the national, regional, dealership, and even individual salesperson levels. This visibility of dealership network activity, effort, and skills is simply unprecedented in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
Reporting to VP Sales (Field Sales) this role encompasses many functions including:
  • Become competent in the Company’s suite of solutions, services, work flows and practices.
  • To run the new NSC (National Sales Company) business unit in China, manage the program, including project implementation and ongoing support.
  • Serve as commercial lead for the NSC program, partnering closely with sales.
  • Serve as a “Subject Matter Expert” of the NSC Program and provide business development and sales partnership/support during pre- and post- sales activities.
  • Lead a team of approximately 5 staff, in a matrix organization including resources inside and outside of China.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members to manage the operational aspects of the program(s), including developing overall strategy, tactical implementation plans, fully integrated program timelines, monitoring key milestones and decision points, to drive delivery of project objectives.
  • Coordinate relevant functional groups to ensure timely execution of program activities including anticipating and identifying project risks, mitigations and contingencies, and supporting timely action plans and issue resolution.
  • Represent the program to the steering team; ensure effective communication to align the program activities with the agreed Company strategy, and ensure effective program execution.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all Clients.
  • Within your team, foster a culture of ownership and accountability including continuous benchmarking, evaluation, recognition and process improvement.
  • Focus operations to deliver results by influencing team members beyond existing benchmarks and their own expectations.
  • Develop project scenario planning for decision making.
  • Provide project management to ensure development and use of key project management tools, metrics and team meeting logistics and documentation, to enhance project and program delivery and information dissemination to the business and Clients.
  • Keep abreast of industry and business trends, players, competitors and new technologies.
 
Preferences
The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the automotive industry essential
  • Experience of the National Sales Company business essential. Exposure to both the sales and service side advantageous.
  • Experience within an automotive dealer and/or data/systems highly desired.
  • Demonstrable program management and leadership experience with previous experience managing cross-functional product implementation essential.
  • Experience working within a global matrix organisation across multiple time-zones essential.
  • Passion for the automotive industry advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (including MS Project) essential.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills. High work ethic and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive level clients and colleagues. The ability to initiate and develop productive business relationships.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical issues (both verbally and in writing) to non-technical personnel.
  • An enthusiastic and creative problem solver with the ability to handle questions and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Strong Client focus.
  • High attention to detail. Ensure accuracy and high quality in all your work. Continuously strive for improvement.
  • Highly motivated and organised with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and keep focused on ultimate objectives.
  • Ability to integrate cross functional issues and balance competing priorities essential.
  • Time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and expectations.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English essential. Additional languages desired.
