Overview
Interested in TAX FREE Role? A major mining company seeks a Stores Supervisor to maintain the smooth operation of the Stores. You will be responsible for the day to day management of people within the Store function Applicants invited with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a store supervisor. Working on a Tax Free, Expat residential permanent role, you will be exposed to a great opportunity to develop your specific expertise working across various stakeholders on high value projects. This role is offered in adherence with Saudi Labour Law and therefore these positions are only open to Males and under the age of 50.

The Company are part of a larger group within Saudi and specialise in large scale earth movement. Formed over 75 years ago, they specialise in a number of industries, including mining, civil works, infrastructure and site preparation. Within mining they undertake the full lifecycle from the installation of infrastructure through to the disposal of waste products and reinstating of fertile soil.
 
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment.
  • The day to day management of people within the Store function.
nsuring that staff comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.
  • Housekeeping standards and continuous improvement within the store.
  • Providing the best customer service – ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and on time and budget.
  • Maintaining and improving relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Communicating with customers on a regular basis to ensure the provision of a high quality service.
  • Familiarize yourself with any operational concerns and inherent perculiarities (e.g. HSEQ) – provide feedback to the customer to reassure them of any resolutions to those concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to the Risk and Change Management Process
  • Conduct a Job Safety Analysis prior to each critical task/activity
  • Comply with HSE and functional requirements
  • Report all HSE incidents
  • Comply with the requirements of the JRAR Disciplinary Code
  • Comply with the Emergency Preparedness and Response Procedure requirements
  • Ensure compliance with PPE requirements
  • Issue materials as per approved procedures to ensure materials issued are as per requisitions received and delivery is made to authorized personnel.
  • Applies a physical classification system to items of similar nature are stored in pre designated locations for ease of access and optimization of time and efforts in material handling.
  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets our timescales/requirements.
  • Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
  • Organize, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements.
  • To assist and advise the Head of Procurement & Legal as well as the rest of the organization on all procurement issues Participate in the Job Safety Analysis.
  • Ensuring the equipment is locked out and the work area is safe prior to commencing with maintenance or repair work.
  • Oversee any planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure security of store environment and maintain access control, ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain the management of supplier return packaging.
  • Record and communicate all shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst
  • Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and therefore prevent part shortages
  • Select proper storage areas and store articles in bins, racks, shelves, floor or yard areas.
  • Issue materials, supplies, tools, parts and equipment, obtaining proper records and requisitions.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts, quarterly inventory, mid -year inventory, year-end inventory and physical inventory and prepare year-end inventory reports.
  • Assist in reconciling work order quantities with inventory records.
  • Attending to breakdowns
  • Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
  • Deliver efficiencies to support year on year operational budget reduction.
  • Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, model change and pilot build ensuring robust product life cycles.
  • Implement management systems and working practices in line with best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and review operational methods to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative improvements within the operation whilst ensuring continuous customer service.
  • Coordinate and participate in special and scheduled stock counts as required
  • Implement and maintain a filing system that ensures Goods Issued and other documents are preserved and easily retrieved.
  • Stores the right amount of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business’s operational and customer demand.
  • Identifying tools, materials and resources required.
  • Supervise team members to solve the issue.
  • Checking if all members of the team have finished their duties.
  • Checking material availability.
  • Attends to the Mechanic needs in breakdown repairs.
 
Preferences
The successful candidate will have
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a store supervisor essential.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi or the Middle East advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and direct staff. The ability to co-ordinate teams is key.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordination of solutions to complex problems.
  • Competent with the ability to apply your expertise to all problems – strong problem solving skills.
  • Highly resilient and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Able to complete all works to a very high quality/standard.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to stay abreast of new trends and technologies in your field.
  • Proactive, flexible and dedicated team player, able to achieve goals.
  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to engage and work effectively with team players from various cultures. The ability to present results to stakeholders is key.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships
