Overview
Interested in TAX FREE Role? A major global petrochemical manufacturing company seeks a Control System Engineer to undertake engineering on various control systems, (i.e. Distributed Control System, Safety Instrument System, Fire and gas Detection System, Machine Monitoring System, Programmable Logic Controller, Asset Management System, Alarm Management System, Management Information System, Sequence Of Event System, Burner Management System, Packaged Equipment System, Tank gauging System, Compressor Control System, Power Distribution and Anti surge Controller). Applicants invited with a degree in Control System & Automation or Equivalent and a minimum of 10 years’ control systems experience within Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals Plants. Preference will be given to candidate with most experience in reputable engineering / EPC companies and some exposure to the related plants operations and maintenance. Working on a Tax Free, Expat residential permanent role, you will be exposed to a great opportunity to develop your specific expertise working across various stakeholders on high value projects. This role is offered in adherence with Saudi Labour Law and therefore these positions are only open to Males and under the age of 58.

Jubail is a large industrial city located in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Persian Gulf. It is within easy reach of Dammam and Al Khobar and you can easily visit both Bahrain and Kuwait.

This is a residential position (i.e. not rotational) and the Company provides 22 – 28 days holiday (depending on grade) plus you are entitled to all of the Saudi Public holidays (circa 10 - 14 days).

The successful candidate will have
  • Batchelor’s degree in Control System & Automation or equivalent essential. Masters or PhD preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ control systems experience within Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals Plants essential.
  • Strong previous experience working with and maintaining sophisticated analytical instruments/equipments essential.
  • Experience in various control systems such as:
    • Distributed Control System,
    • Safety Instrument System,
    • Fire and gas Detection System,
    • Machine Monitoring System,
    • Programmable Logic Controller,
    • Asset Management System,
    • Alarm Management System,
    • Management Information System,
    • Sequence Of Event System, Burner Management System,
    • Packaged Equipment System,
    • Tank gauging System,
    • Compressor Control System,
    • Power Distribution
    • Anti surge Controller.
  • Experience in logic development, case and effect & narrative description essential.
  • Experience with SIL assessment and clarification essential.
  • Experience in the mega project engineering and execution process essential.
  • Experience in International Standards, codes and regulations essential.
  • Experience in plant maintenance practices, policies and procedures, design, testing, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of various control systems essential.
  • Strong IT skills essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working in Saudi or the Middle East advantageous.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordination of solutions to complex problems.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proactive, flexible and dedicated team player, able to achieve goals.
  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team essential.
 
Other Information
Package: A highly attractive salary is on offer dependent on skills and experience. In addition, a full Ex-Pat package is available including housing, transport, 2 flights home per year, health and dental insurance 22-28 days holiday plus all Saudi national holidays which are circa 10-14 days.
