Overview
Job Overview: URGENT: An Oil and Gas Operator seek a Project Manager to manage and deliver on a number of large scale capital upstream projects. Applicants are invited with strong project management background and relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, MSP, Prince2). The key attributes required are rigor and discipline and the ability to enforce effective documentation. It is expected that this contract would run to April 2018 and then reduce in its requirements to 50% at which time, other major projects will be coming on-stream so there is a strong possibility that this contract would be extended.
 
Responsibilities
As a seasoned Project Manager, you will ensure that requirements are well defined, clearly understood, milestones are set and adhered to, quality assurance is conducted and reviewed regularly, KPI’s are defined and understood, stakeholder relationships across the parties are maintained and deliverables are as per the specifications agreed. You will take ownership for budgets and strive to ensure that the service is delivered on time and within budget and to a high level of satisfaction across the stakeholders involved.

You will manage the relationship between multiple vendors and across many stakeholders.

 
Preferences
references: The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong Project Management capabilities essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years project management essential – preferably working in high capital projects.
  • Proven experience of using project management methodologies such as PMP, MSP, Prince2 etc. essential
  • Strong focus on planning, execution, risk management, documentation and effective deliverable essential.
  • Previous experience of working upstream Oil and Gas desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently essential.
  • Ability to engage with a large number of stakeholders, from vendors to oil company stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated individual who can manage their own time and deliver to tight project deadlines.
  • Highly analytical/methodical – the ability to understand the problem, the tools available and to deliver the solution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to interact effectively across all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications skills essential (both written and oral English), with the ability to present findings
 
Other Information
Package: A highly competitive market Day Rate is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
