Overview
Job Overview: URGENT: One of the largest transmitters of gas and electricity seeks a Project Manager to manage an Energy Forecasting System for 3 months in Wokingham. Contract could be extended. The project which is in its early stages will be run as an agile project. Applicants invited with a strong background in managing agile project delivery and preferably qualified as a scrum master or Agile Coach. Some exposure to energy forecasting and the systems used highly desired.

The Company is keen for the Project Manager to start before Christmas if at all possible.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
  • An academic background in IT, Data Management or Systems highly advantageous.
  • Project Management expertise essential.
  • A strong background in managing Agile projects, especially in agile project delivery essential.
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master highly desired.
  • Some understanding of energy forecasting and the technologies used highly desired.
  • Highly diplomatic with the ability to engage effectively with a large number of stakeholders across the enterprise to drive toward consensus –i.e. iterative development project, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated individual who can manage a project and deliver to tight project deadlines.
  • Highly analytical/methodical – the ability to understand the problem, the tools available and to deliver the solution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to interact effectively across all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications skills essential (both written and oral English), with the ability to present findings

Package: A highly competitive market Day Rate is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
