Overview
URGENT: One of Australia’s largest water utility Companies seek a senior level Information Management Architect to deliver improvements relating to their data architecture landscape. You will create business data architecture based on current application architecture models that reflect the Company’s strategies and goals. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 10 years’ experience defining and implementing data and information management strategies. The contract is for a minimum of 3 months but more likely to be extended to 6 months.

The Client has a preference for applicants living and eligible to work in Australia as there can be a delay in securing a visa. However, if you are not in Australia and feel you have the skills listed then please apply and your application will be considered.





 
Responsibilities
Responsibilities: This role encompasses many functions including (but not limited to):
  • Find approach in which to improve the Company’s data architecture landscape as they move to a new model for their departmental business functions.
  • Create business data architecture based on current application architecture models that reflect the Company’s strategies and goals
  • Evaluate the current information management and reporting ways of working and provide an operational model.
  • Locate ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership around data management, reporting and analytics.
  • Understand SAP and non-SAP data models across Customer Data, Financial Data, Procurement Data, and Asset Management Data
  • Identify ways to increase employee knowledge and skills to support future growth through better management reporting and management information
  • Conduct research in the talent management industry to find ways in which to improve operations.
  • Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance.
  • Create and implement a data architecture business vision.
 
Preferences
Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience defining and implementing data and information management strategies essential.
  • Highly professional data architecture business vision essential.
  • Experience working for or reporting to a COO / CFO / CIO advantageous.
  • Strong experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals essential.
  • Business Intelligence and Information Architecture essential
  • Federated Enterprise Architecture Certification desired (e.g. TOGAF, etc.)
  • Experience working for a Utility Company desired, especially a water company but not essential.
  • Previous experience of creating business data architecture that reflects the Company’s strategies and goals and can build an operational model.
  • Highly focused on cost reductions across IT.
  • Can provide strong leadership skills around data management.
  • Strong reporting capabilities – ability to identify stakeholders and manage these relationships effectively.
  • Good analytic skills.
  • Good knowledge of Sap and non-SAP data models desired.
  • Strong personality, highly proactive with a keen focus on knowledge transfer.
  • Excellent communications skills essential (both written and oral English), with the ability to present findings.
 
Other Information
Package: A highly competitive market Day Rate is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
