| Candidates Frequently Asked Questions |
| The following are some of the more frequently asked questions by our candidates. We hope the replies answer some of the queries you may have. If not give us a call to discuss. |
- Will confidentiality of my details be retained?
A: Yes. We have gone to great lengths to retain your confidentiality. Your CV is released to a registered client only when you have clearly expressed an interest in their job. We do not store any of your confidential information on our Web server and only non-confidential information is viewable by clients. In addition, you will be issued with a unique ID login so no-one else will be able to access your details. You can view our confidentiality policy.
- How do I apply for a job?
A: Once your are registered with us, we will notify you of your Login details. These will enable you to apply for any job online.
- How am I told about new job opportunities?
A: You can register (on our Web site) two profiles of jobs that best match the type of opportunity you are looking for. e.g. Geophysical Processing, Processing Operations. Our Job Alert service, will then notify you by email of all jobs that match your selection. In addition, your skills and preferences registered will be searched against the requirements of all new jobs, and where you match, we will personally notify you of these jobs to gauge your interest.
- How will I know if a client is interested in my application?
A: You can at any time review and track your application(s) and headhunt(s) online to see if the client has requested your CV or interview. You will be notified by email as to the outcome of your application.
- If I register with Working Smart can I still apply for other jobs elsewhere?
A: Yes of course, our aim is to see you employed in a job you are suited for and happy doing. We do ask that you inform us if you are no longer looking for employment. It would also be helpful to know what jobs you have applied for directly so that we avoid duplication of effort.
- If I see a job advertised can Working Smart represent me?
A: Yes, provided that your first contact with the employer is through us, then we can represent you and assist your application through out the recruitment process. If, however, you have already applied to the company directly then regrettably we cannot intercede on your behalf without the employers consent.
- Can I be registered with Working Smart and other recruitment agencies?
A: Yes, you are free to register with as many agencies as you like, however, we believe that Working Smart can offer a better, more efficient service than many other agencies. It also does not look good to the employer if they receive the same CV from several agencies, it suggests you are desperate for a job and have difficulty finding one. We would ask you to inform us of applications with other agencies, so we do not duplicate effort.
- Do you offer contract/temporary work as well as full-time positions?
A: Yes, many of our candidates are self-employed or operate as a limited company and work on short-long term contracts arranged by Working Smart.
